In recent years, the motorcycle boom has risen, new models emerge in an endless stream, a new car is listed, most of the focus is on price, engine cylinder displacement, performance, configuration specifications and appearance, but few people pay attention to the frame of a motorcycle.

The frame is equivalent to the skeleton of a motorcycle, and is the key component that connects and carries the engine and transmission system, suspension braking system, walking system, auxiliary equipment and drivers and passengers of a motorcycle.

For riders, the most direct feeling brought by the quality of the frame is that it is related to the riding quality of a motorcycle.

There are about a dozen common motorcycle frames, from diamond-shaped jumper frames, T-shaped integrated frames, single cradle frames, etc., which are commonly used in low-end models, to braided steel tube frames, diamond-shaped frames, aluminum alloy double spar frames, and then to extremely luxurious carbon fiber one-piece frames and so on.

Regardless of the form of the frame, it must be able to meet the following requirements.

First, it is required to withstand the longitudinal inertia caused by braking and acceleration when the motorcycle is driving in a straight line, as well as to resist the lateral torsional deformation during curve driving.

Second, resist the shock from engine vibration and avoid resonance with the vibration frequency of the engine, otherwise the overall strength and reliability of the frame will continue to decrease, resulting in poor comfort and increased engine noise and jitter.

Third, to resist the accumulation of dynamic stress caused by uneven road surface, poorly designed frames are often prone to metal fatigue after a short period of use, which in turn leads to frame welding and dewelding.

Fourth, the lightweight design is as light as possible to reduce the dead weight of the vehicle and improve the driving quality.

Fifth, good acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation and rust resistance, involving whether the surface treatment process of the frame is up to standard.
